“Dream Stop”

Artwork by Gary Hill

Roll: Structural Design Development / 3D Renderings / Fabrication/Assembly / Installation

Hired by the artist to help engineer and fabricate “Dream Stop”. I 3D modeled and designed specifications according to the artists concept and proofs, then devised methods to construct the 6' x 6' aluminum form, wiring & outfitting it with 31 conical spy camera's. I 3D printed custom inserts to mount the camera's and the magnetic connectors inside accordingly. I also traveled with the artist to troubleshoot and aid in the installation. Work shown at James Harris Gallery in Seattle, along with the Kochi-Muziris Biennale in Fort Kochi, India (and other international exhibitions).

“…oblique angles cover all the wall space at times overlapping producing a shattered holographic-like image of whoever/whatever is in the space.

“…The quaint notion of surveillance is replaced by an insidious virus that infiltrates anything and everything including well worn cultural symbols.
